Eurotech began in the 1990s with Selwyn Smith, who entered the display and signage industry after growing up in a family of manufacturers. He and his brother Ashley ran Able Wire Products, supplying wire and tubular steel products to supermarkets, wholesalers, product manufacturers and laboratories. Over time, they saw the need to adapt to changing market demands.
Eurotech focused on sourcing practical solutions from top designers. The first success was a brochure display system from South Australia that stopped brochures from flipping over, helping reduce waste in the tourism industry.
Building on this, they sourced display hardware from Sweden and introduced a pull-up banner system that allowed fast panel changes. It gained traction in the tourism and education sectors. Initially, Eurotech relied on external printers for the graphics, but brought printing in-house to meet deadlines. This shift stretched resources and led to a reassessment of their direction.

Eurotech reassessed its direction and made a clear decision to focus on the signage industry. With a background in manufacturing, the team chose to close the printing division. This move removed any overlap with their clients and allowed a full return to their core strengths: hardware and signage accessories.
Growth has come from working closely with customers, always with a manufacturer’s mindset. The goal is simple: make it easy from start to finish.
Today, Eurotech is a corporate business built on family values. Selwyn, the founder, remains part of the leadership team. A strong team culture and a focus on service continue to drive the company’s success.
